Adventures in Cleaning, Cooking, Baking: Update 1

So...I've gotten quite a bit done in the last hour and a half.  My first order of business was to get my kichen clean so that I could cook in a nice clean, organized space.  I wasn't brave enough to post all of the counter tops, but I'll show you my sink...

First I cleaned out the drain, then I cleaned out the sink, then I started washing, scrubbing, washing, rinsing, etc.  You get the point.   You know how to wash dishes, right?  Just kidding!  Anyway, after many interruptions, I now have this...

 

So, that's a relief! In the middle of doing all of that, I also started on supper.  I'm going to make Baked Penne (recipe coming soon) for my husband and kids...it's Richy's favorite pasta dish and the kids love it too!  Anyway, I boiled the pasta and thawed the ground beef in the microwave.  Next I browned it, then threw in the first few ingredients and let it simmer while I washed.  Here's what it looks like now...

This wonderful dish has fresh diced onions, green & red peppers, garlic, olives, diced tomatoes, oregano and mushrooms...my house smells wonderful now!  Next on my list is to finish putting together the Baked Penne, and start on cookies!  I'll try to update again after lunch!
