Easter & Spring Sugar Cookies
On Saturday, our church had a yard/bake sale to benefit our youth trip this summer. I decided to contribute some sugar cookies decorated for Easter & Spring.
I'm not much of a cookie decorator. Cakes are more my thing! But I used these Wilton Easter Cookie Cutters to make eggs, tulips, butterflies, and flowers.
The eggs didn't look so much like eggs, but I really liked the flowers and tulips.
The decorating was pretty simple. I made my favorite sugar cookie recipe. Then I piped on some buttercream.
To give them that sparkly color, I poured several colored sugars into saucers (like these here, here & here), then dipped the cookies and pressed to get the sugar to stick.
The kids loved them and they were a big hit at the bake sale! I'll probably make some more before Easter.
