I won't be posting much today and tomorrow, but I thought I'd quickly share what I've been up to in the kitchen last night and this morning!
I know I've already made some Easter cupcakes and Easter cookies, but I wanted to make some fun treats for our church Kids Easter Party today.... and so I made some more! But first, I baked up this cute little bunny cake.
I don't usually use pre-shaped pans, but a sweet, sweet lady at our church gave me this tiny bunny head and it was just irresistible. I'm not sure how to describe the size to you, but it only holds about half of a regular cake mix.
Since that wasn't quite enough cake for a bunch of kids at the church, I also did cupcakes.
Lots and lots of little bunny ears cupcakes. In fact, yesterday I cut out 50 little white ears (from marshmallow fondant) and 50 little pink ear "middles"... and put them all together to dry. I thought it would be fun, but after about the 10th one, I was so over it.
But I pushed on and finished the task.
Then... my kids asked if they could make cookies to take to church. Of course, I didn't want to miss a chance to bake sugar cookies, plus I had extra buttercream left over from the cupcakes, so we made sugar cookies and frosted them!
If you like soft, not too sweet sugar cookies, you must try this recipe. They are just so wonderful!!
And now I'm off to the Easter party... Happy Easter!!
