I have 3 cakes this week...one was picked up today, one will go out tomorrow, and I'll deliver the 3rd on Saturday. It's been busy and fun and chaotic and well... partially disastrous.
I won't go into details, but cakes broke and fell apart, stuck to the pan and didn't rise, fondant cracked, gum paste didn't harden... and all of that was only on the first cake. Yeah...it's been a rough couple of days.
But finally I finished it up this morning and it turned out great. Chanie is 14 years old today.
She loves to sing and play piano. Music is her thing. So...this is her cake!
I added those pink curly-Q's at the end, but decided ultimately to not attach them to the cake.
Happy Birthday Chanie! This cake is chocolate cake with cream cheese buttercream, decorated with homemade marshmallow fondant and gum paste.
